A checklist for drop-off day What to pack for dog boarding

If your dog is boarding with us, here is what to pack for a smooth drop-off. Label everything with your dog's name, and we keep it organized until pickup.

The packing checklist

Everything your dog needs for a comfortable stay. One bag is plenty.

01

Food & feeding

  • Your dog's regular food

Enough for the whole stay, plus a day or two extra.

  • Meals portioned or a scoop

Pre-portioned bags per meal are easiest.

  • Written feeding instructions

Amounts, meal times, toppers and any allergies.

  • Favorite treats

The ones your dog already knows.

02

Medications

  • In original, labeled containers

Showing your dog's name, the dose and the prescribing vet.

  • Written instructions from your vet

Clear written instructions and a complete dosing schedule from your veterinarian, including supplements.

  • A few spare doses

In case your return is delayed.

03

Leash & collar

  • Collar or harness with ID tags

Worn at drop-off, with your current phone number.

  • A standard leash

04

Comfort from home

  • One bed or blanket

    Machine-washable is easiest.

  • A favorite toy

Durable and safe to use unsupervised.

  • Something that smells like home

A worn T-shirt can help a nervous dog settle.

05

Contacts & vet details

  • Where to reach you

A phone number that works while you are away.

  • An emergency contact

Their name and phone number, which we need before boarding.

  • Your veterinarian

Name, clinic, phone number and address.

  • Current vaccination records

Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP, if you haven’t sent them before the stay.

  • Boarding agreement

You agree to it when you send your request, and you can read it again any time on our website.

Bringing more than one dog? Pack and label each dog's food and medications separately.

Please leave at home

To keep every guest safe and every room calm, please do not pack these.

Not needed for the stay

  • Rawhides, bones and bully sticks

They can cause squabbles between dogs, and some are a choking risk.

  • Retractable leashes

A standard leash gives better control around other dogs.

  • Irreplaceable or sentimental items

Things can get chewed or misplaced, so keep treasured items safe at home.
