Meet your host

Hi, I’m Lucky

I’m the heart behind Chasing Cattle Dog Boarding! Established in 2022 in Midlothian, Virginia, Chasing Cattle grew from my love for dogs and the belief that they deserve to feel like family even when their people are away.

We offer home-based boarding with a comfortable place to rest, a fenced yard to explore, and plenty of affection.

I take time to learn each dog’s personality, routines and little quirks, so every guest settles in feeling safe and understood. Some dogs want a playmate in the yard, others want a quiet nap and a gentle scratch behind the ears, and both are perfectly welcome here.

Meals follow your schedule, medications are given just as your vet directs, and a photo update arrives every day, so you always know how your dog is doing. When it’s time to go home, my hope is simple: that your dog leaves happy, tired from a good day, and already looking forward to the next visit.

Our founding dog

Meet Cookie

Our beloved founding dog and the inspiration behind Chasing Cattle.

Together with Gunner, she helped make our house a home filled with love, play, and companionship.

Though Cookie has crossed the rainbow bridge, her memory lives on in our name, our story, and the care we give every dog who stays with us.
